Dr. Diana L. Finn grew up in Watertown, New York, surrounded by animals from an early age. As a child, she spent weekends volunteering at local animal shelters and dreamed of one day becoming the vet that every pet owner in her community could count on. That dream became reality.
After graduating from the prestigious Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine — one of the top veterinary programmes in the United States — Dr. Finn returned home to Watertown. She spent several years working in busy urban veterinary practices, gaining deep experience in surgery, diagnostics, and emergency care before opening Finn Care Veterinary.
Every animal that comes through our door is someone's family member. I built this clinic to give Watertown pet owners the same high standard of care I would want for my own animals — honest, compassionate, and thorough.

Growing up in Watertown, Dr. Finn spent her formative years volunteering at local shelters and caring for neighbourhood strays. Her passion for animal welfare shaped her path from a very young age.
Dr. Finn earned her DVM from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with a focus on small animal surgery and preventive medicine.
Following graduation, Dr. Finn worked at several high-volume veterinary practices across New York State, building expertise in diagnostics, surgery, dental care, and emergency medicine.
Dr. Finn returned home and opened Finn Care Veterinary at 216 Colorado Ave — bringing big-city quality veterinary care to the Watertown community she grew up in.
Finn Care Veterinary is now one of Watertown's most trusted clinics, serving over 1,000 pet-owning families across Jefferson County and the wider North Country region.
